Eligibility criteria:
All the below mentioned four conditions are to be fulfilled to be eligible to apply under Farmer’s Quota.
1. A pass in two-year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Intermediate Board with the following subjects namely:
i. Physical Sciences
ii. Mathematics
2. FORM-I: It is a proforma to be certified by the Head Master of the school with his office seal that the candidate has studied for a minimum period of four years in schools/colleges located in Non-Municipal areas during their period of study from 1st class to 12th class / Intermediate (Non-Municipal Area Study Certificate) (to be uploaded).
3. FORM-II: The candidates coming from families of Agriculturists (Farmers) owning not less than One acre of land either in the name of the parents or in the name of the candidate and who have studied for a minimum of 4 years up to Intermediate or its equivalent in Non-Municipal areas only are eligible. If the land is owned by grandfather, grandmother or guardian or any other relatives, it is not acceptable. The proforma indicating the patta numbers and extent of agricultural land owned by the candidate / parents duly certified by the Tahsildar with his office seal (or) the candidate has to upload attested photocopies of pattadar pass book as evidence of ownership of agricultural land (to be uploaded).
4. The selection of candidates for all the seats shall be made on the basis of ranks obtained by the candidates in Telangana State EAMCET-2019 in their respective local areas out of the merit list prepared for this purpose duly following the rule of reservation.
*Both Form-I and Form-II need to be uploaded, otherwise the claim of the candidates under this category will be summarily rejected.
Age:
Candidates for admission into this course in the University shall be required to have completed 17 years of age with an upper age limit of 22 years as on 31st December, 2019.
The upper age limit in respect of SC and ST candidates shall be 25 years, while for Physically Challenged candidates it shall be 27 years as on 31st December, 2019.
Among the seats available for admission into B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) and B.Tech. (Food Technology) of the University, 3% are reserved for the Physically Handicapped / Challenged candidates. The candidate seeking the benefit of the reservation should present himself/herself before a Selection Committee comprising of Residential Medical Officer, Specialists in the concerned fields of medicine and Deans of Faculty, which shall examine the suitability of the candidates to the course based on their degree of disability which shall be based on their performance in the screening tests and the decision of the committee shall be final for the purpose of admission.
Reservation of seats for Women- In each course, 33 % of the seats shall be reserved in favour of women candidates from each category.
Allocation of seats- 85% of the seats are reserved for local candidates and 15% of seats are un-reserved.
Hostel facility- Hostel facility shall be provided subject to availability of accommodation.
